Film script supervisor Nathalie Zagar Abitbol has confirmed her involvement in an exciting new film project titled “We Want the Virus.” This independent comedy feature film is being produced by A516 Productions and is currently slated for release towards the end of 2025. The film is directed by Paul Santoli, with the screenplay written by Daniel Gualajara and Paul Santoli, promising a collaborative creative vision.
A Post-Pandemic Comedy Film
In a recent interview, Abitbol offered a sneak peek into the film’s storyline. “‘We Want the Virus’ is about two young actors who are struggling to find work in the aftermath of the Covid pandemic,” she explained. Driven by desperation, the duo concocts a scheme to create a fundraiser, falsely claiming that one of them needs financial assistance to recover from Covid-19.
As the fundraiser gains traction, the actors find themselves in a precarious situation. “In order to cash out the money, they will do anything to ‘prove the fundraiser was not a scam’,” Abitbol revealed.
