Rossi’s approach to acting is deeply rooted in the process of character development. She expresses a profound connection to her characters, emphasizing the “electric bond” that unites her with them. For Paola, the journey of exploring the depths of a role is a crucial part of acting, and a process she enjoys thoroughly. She explains that she enjoys delving into the text of a script, especially the works of Shakespeare, which she finds requires a complete breakdown and reassembly to understand it at its core. For her, scene study is one of the most pleasurable aspects of the process, as well as physicality, transforming a character from words on a page into a living, breathing entity. As she states, “Just creating this person from paper is delightful to me, and then watching it is orgasmic.”
