Las Vegas-based singer-songwriter, recording artist, actress, and producer Rutherine is stepping into an increasingly active season of live entertainment, with performances, an upcoming show of her own, and new original music all on the horizon.
On Sunday, September 20, Rutherine is set to perform and sing as part of an event connected to the Miss Fil-Am Nevada Pageants, presented by Fil-Am Civic Action International (FACAI). The appearance comes ahead of the pageant’s final event on September 26 and represents another opportunity for Rutherine to bring her music directly to a live audience.
The performance is part of a larger goal for the independent artist: to continue getting onstage, connecting with new audiences, and expanding the visibility of her music through live appearances throughout Las Vegas and beyond.
Rutherine Takes the Stage with the Miss Fil-Am Nevada Pageants
Rutherine’s September 20 appearance brings her into an event centered on Filipino-American culture, community, service, and empowerment.
Fil-Am Civic Action International (FACAI) is a Nevada-based nonprofit organization focused on uplifting Filipino-American communities through education, economic empowerment, cultural preservation, civic engagement, leadership, and service.
The Miss Fil-Am Nevada Pageants organization similarly works to amplify and empower women through service while fostering a community that promotes Filipino-American interests in education, economics, and culture. Its mission includes creating opportunities for women to thrive and make meaningful contributions both within the Las Vegas community and in the Philippines.
For Rutherine, participating as a performer provides another opportunity to combine entertainment with community connection. It also continues a live-performance journey that has already included appearances at major community events, Asian festivals, Foodie Fest, and events featuring visiting Filipino celebrities in Las Vegas.
The momentum will continue after September. On October 25, Rutherine is scheduled to present a show of her own, giving audiences another opportunity to experience her as a live performer and recording artist.
Creating Music Families Can Enjoy Together
While Rutherine continues to pursue more opportunities to perform, there is also a personal purpose behind the music she creates.
Part of that inspiration came from watching her nieces sing, dance, and enjoy music. Rutherine noticed that although they loved music, some popular songs contained lyrics or messages their parents did not feel comfortable having them listen to or perform.
That experience led Rutherine to consider what she could contribute as a songwriter: music that could still be energetic, entertaining, and fun while carrying uplifting and meaningful messages.
Her goal is to create songs people can sing and dance to while also offering encouragement. Through her lyrics, Rutherine wants listeners to believe in themselves, keep moving through challenges, and hold onto hope.
For Rutherine, music is therefore about more than entertainment. It is an opportunity to create joy while giving listeners something positive they can take with them long after a song ends.
That creative direction will continue with another milestone on the calendar. Rutherine is preparing to launch a new song on February 19, extending her growing catalog of independently released original music.
From Music and Film to a Growing Entertainment Career
Rutherine’s work today reflects a creative background spanning several areas of entertainment. Based in Las Vegas, she has built experience as a singer-songwriter, recording artist, actress, producer, and former television host.
Her television experience includes hosting for VAsian News TV, while her film background encompasses contributions to 11 film productions, working both in front of and behind the camera. Her roles have included actress, stunt performer, production assistant, and executive producer.
As the founder of Rutherine Entertainment LLC, Rutherine has also established herself as an independent recording artist who writes, produces, and releases original music. Her songs have reached listeners through major digital platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Pandora, Deezer, and TIDAL.
Her entertainment journey has received media coverage from outlets including The Philippine Star, Philippine Times, Asian Journal, MSN, Alberta Chronicle, Just Fame Magazine, Celebz Treasure, and Star Talent Magazine.
Beyond entertainment, Rutherine serves as a worship leader and teacher at her local church, another part of her life in which music, communication, and encouragement intersect.
She is also continuing to develop new material, including music written and produced by Dick Peterson of the Kingsmen.
With a September 20 performance, the Miss Fil-Am Nevada Pageants finale following on September 26, her own October 25 show, and a new song scheduled to launch February 19, Rutherine is building her next chapter around a straightforward strategy: keep creating, keep performing, and keep finding new audiences.
