Exclusive interview with actor Nick Avila as he talks filming his latest feature role in ‘Miracle at Manchester’!
Q: Nick, you recently booked a role in a feature film. What was the casting process like?
Nick Avila – A: For “Miracle At Manchester” it was a fairly quick and last minute process. After running a quick audition for the Producer, Rick Newman, he felt that I fit the role of Miles Himmel well. I had a few weeks to prepare and watch as much footage of Miles online as I could find.
Q: Can you share with us your experience on set?
Nick Avila – A: Definitely! It was a great experience. The director, my friend Eddie McClintock, was absolutely great. He really gets actors considering he’s one himself. He let me try some ideas and gave me lots of freedom. It was a blast working for him. I tried to be on set everyday including the days I wasn’t shooting. I really like to take in the whole process and be involved as much as possible.
Q: Moving forward, we are in the middle of pilot season! Do you have any favorite shows you’d like to be in?
Nick Avila – A: Man, there is so much out there! I would say more than a specific show, I would love to play a character with a lot of complexity. I love playing as far away from myself as possible.
Q: How would you explain your year so far in one word?
Nick Avila – A: Positive!
