From international television productions to a new psychological thriller in development, actress Andrea Stefanci is entering an exciting chapter of her career, balancing compelling roles with a growing interest in bringing thought-provoking stories to the screen.

With a career spanning North America and Europe, Andrea continues to expand her creative reach across film, television, and new entertainment projects. Her latest work reflects a passion for complex characters and meaningful storytelling.
Andrea recently completed filming the first season of DO DNA!, an upcoming eight-episode Slovak dramedy for STVR. The series follows a divorced journalist whose struggles with alcoholism lead him into treatment, forcing him to confront difficult relationships, family conflicts, and unresolved personal challenges.
Andrea portrays Barča, the journalist’s ex-wife and one of the series’ core characters, a complex character who appears throughout the season and faces personal struggles of her own. Co-directed by Lukas Hanulak and Matus Krajnak, the series combines serious subject matter with moments of humor and absurdity, offering an unconventional perspective on addiction and mental health.
“Given my own past, what really got me when I was first approached about the show was that it deals with alcoholism, addiction and mental health—subjects that can still be quite taboo in Slovakia—but it doesn’t approach them as this relentlessly heavy drama,” Andrea shares.
Currently in post-production, DO DNA! is expected to premiere on STVR around March or April 2027.
Audiences can also look forward to seeing Andrea return in the upcoming season of Výnimočná Nikol, the Slovak adaptation of the popular French television series HPI, which also inspired the American series High Potential.
In the comedy-crime series, she plays Soňa Vágnerová, a strict Internal Affairs investigator whose investigation of Captain Kadlec gradually draws her into the complicated world surrounding Nikol. As the story develops, her character becomes increasingly involved in a larger mystery while an unexpected connection emerges between her and the captain.
The newest season is expected to air on Markíza in 2027, with an official premiere date yet to be confirmed.
Her expanding portfolio also includes participation in the highly anticipated Xbox video game Gears of War: E-Day. While details about her character remain undisclosed, the project represents an opportunity to explore a different side of performance.
Most recently, Andrea appeared in the Hallmark film The Love Heist, portraying Celine Lange. She is also preparing to film another project this winter for a U.S. network, details about the production remain confidential, fans can keep up with Andrea’s official filmography on IMDb to keep up with the latest project developments and official releases.
Beyond acting, Andrea is developing a psychological thriller feature alongside her friend and creative collaborator, Jack Cox. The project explores trust, paranoia, and the gradual breakdown of certainty under extraordinary circumstances.
“It’s still early days, so I can’t reveal too much just yet, but I’m genuinely excited about this one!” she says.
Andrea Stefanci Talks About Her Passion Behind Acting

For Andrea, acting extends far beyond portraying a character. It is an opportunity to explore human behavior, uncover emotional truths, and connect with audiences through stories that reflect the complexities of real life.
“Acting, for me, has always been about honesty, connection, curiosity, and vulnerability. I’m drawn to listening deeply, finding the emotional truth of a moment, and taking on roles that challenge me,”

Although she enjoys working across genres, drama holds a particular appeal because of the emotional and psychological depth it offers. She is especially interested in multidimensional characters and stories that explore the less predictable aspects of human nature.
Her creative inspirations include internationally acclaimed performers and filmmakers whose storytelling challenges convention and explores intimate, emotionally layered subjects.
Rather than limiting herself to a particular genre or market, Andrea hopes to continue collaborating with filmmakers who share her appreciation for authentic storytelling and distinctive creative perspectives.

Away from the camera, her creativity extends into music, dancing, reading, and writing. She is also a devoted mother who values spending time with her son. Her appreciation for different artistic disciplines and everyday experiences remains closely connected to the curiosity she brings to her performances.
With several television projects coming up, a venture into video games, and an original feature film in development, Andrea continues to pursue opportunities that challenge her creatively while connecting audiences with meaningful stories.
As her career progresses across international markets, the focus remains on choosing projects that offer more than entertainment alone—stories that encourage reflection, inspire conversation, and leave a lasting impression.
