The 20-year-old Slovakian artist, who is a vocal supporter of LGBTQ+ and minority rights, is quickly emerging as a Gen Z star throughout Eastern Europe. All of Karin Ann’s songs are sung in English, and her music has a vibey, atmospheric quality with just the right amount of alternative and approachable elements. Her songs, which she characterizes as “alternative with a dash of rock,” focus on topics including mental health, toxicity, and gender equality. Karin Ann has some new projects coming in 2023! Q: Karin, how is 2022 treating you so far and what can we expect in the coming year?
Karin: I have a couple of things in the works for 2023 but nothing is set in stone yet so I guess it remains to be seen , but I am spending the remainder of this year working on a lot of new music!
Q: You have new music in the works! Can you share with us your experience in the recording studio?
Karin: It’s always different in the recording studios based on what country I’m in but I always love it. I’ve been branching out and working with new people so I’m just getting used to working with a variety of a lot of different people.
