Alchemy in Venice- Starring Noella Jung – Brings Art, Music, and Transformation to the Heart of Venice Beach

Set against the colorful and creative landscape of Venice Beach, California, Alchemy in Venice is a story of art, ambition, human connection, and reinvention. The film follows three artists from different walks of life whose paths unexpectedly cross as they each search for purpose and a future that feels meaningful.

Blending music, visual art, photography, romance, and themes of sustainability, the story explores what can happen when creativity brings people together at pivotal moments in their lives.

Three Artists Searching for Something More

At the center of Alchemy in Venice is Sua, a talented young Korean violinist who dreams of performing on some of the world’s great stages. While playing music along the Venice boardwalk, she becomes immersed in a community filled with artists, unconventional thinkers, and people creating new possibilities from what others might overlook.

Her journey eventually connects with Jacques, a French photographer drawn to her music, and Evan, a gifted artist facing an uncertain future while refusing to give up on his creative ambitions.

As their lives become intertwined, each character is forced to reconsider ideas about success, relationships, sacrifice, and artistic purpose. Rather than revealing exactly where those choices lead, Alchemy in Venice uses their individual journeys to examine a broader question: can the things that challenge the future we imagined ultimately lead us somewhere more meaningful?

Venice itself plays an important role in the film. Its famous beaches, canals, boardwalk, artistic community, and unconventional character provide a fitting environment for a story centered on transformation.

The film also explores the possibilities created when different artistic disciplines come together. Music, photography, visual art, art history, and repurposed materials become part of a larger creative conversation, while sustainability and artistic reuse add another dimension to the story.

The concept of “alchemy” ultimately reaches beyond art. Throughout the film, creativity becomes a reflection of personal transformation—the idea that something overlooked, uncertain, or seemingly without purpose can take on entirely new meaning.

It is a theme that connects the film’s characters as they navigate love, opportunity, ambition, and the difficult choices that can accompany change.

Noella Jung Steps Into the Role of Sua

Bringing Sua to the screen is Noella Jung, an internationally acclaimed violinist, actress, writer, and filmmaker whose real-life artistic background shares compelling parallels with the character.

Noella studied violin performance at the New England Conservatory of Music and earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Florida State University. Throughout her career, she has become known for bringing multiple artistic disciplines together, particularly through projects connecting classical music with visual art.

Her interdisciplinary work has incorporated artists including Monet, Van Gogh, and Chagall into innovative performances and multimedia experiences. She has also released two albums, authored the bestselling book A Moment that Painting is Audible and Music is Visible, and performed more than 150 lecture-concerts, including an appearance at Korea’s presidential residence, the Blue House.

Beyond music, Noella has developed her career as an actress and filmmaker through projects in both Korea and the United States, receiving recognition at international film festivals.

Her background makes Sua a natural extension of the artistic world Noella has explored throughout her career. Both artist and character exist at the intersection of different creative forms, making Alchemy in Venice a fitting project for a performer whose own work has consistently sought to connect music, visual art, film, and storytelling.

Ultimately, Alchemy in Venice is less about one definition of success and more about what can happen when people become willing to see their lives—and their art—from a different perspective.
